The purpose of lubrication is to separate two surfaces to reduce friction. Lubricating the surfaces facilitates movement; furthermore, forming a film on surfaces prevents corrosion and oxidation.
Its functions are: Reducing friction. Separating rubbing surfaces. Minimizing wear. Transferring worn particles and heat (cooling bearings). Providing protection against corrosion.
Types of Lubrication
Grease Lubrication With Gülersan Grease Pumps, which have different operating principles, we aim to achieve maximum efficiency from grease lubrication, from the simplest point to the most difficult conditions. Using mechanical, air-operated, electric, and manual grease pumps, you can easily apply lubrication in many different areas, from bearing lubrication to construction machine lubrication.
Advantages of grease lubrication: Offers a simple design. Ensures high sealing performance. Provides maintenance-free, long-term lubrication. Uses simple lubrication equipment. Under normal operating conditions, lifetime lubrication with grease is possible. However, if conditions include high temperature, high load, or high speed, you must relubricate at certain intervals.
Thin Oil Lubrication We recommend thin oil lubrication for lubricating machine parts that are very close to each other and when the operating temperature needs to be reduced. The temperature increase in the bearing or journal may result from external factors or high speed. Friction inside the bearing is low with this type of lubrication. You can perform thin oil lubrication in stationary or circulation types. Additionally, we use thin oil lubrication for cooling purposes in the lubrication of steel belts and chains, or in machine tool applications.
